Job summary

American Welding & Gas, Inc. is seeking an energetic Branch Manager for our Columbia, SC location to lead day-to-day sales, warehousing, distribution and production with P&L responsibilities.

You will drive safety, ensure timely customer deliveries, manage staff, review financials, and coordinate with other branches to resolve issues while maintaining a clean, attractive store and strong customer service. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Previous management experience required.
• Intermediate level computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day sales, warehousing, distribution, production with P&L responsibilities.
• Lead safety; organize safety meetings and enforce safety rules.
• Ensure customer deliveries are dispatched cost-effectively and on time.
• Provide upbeat, tailored customer service for phone, walk-in, and delivery customers.
• Improve operating income by managing margins and expenses.
• Improve branch store ranking through performance metrics.
• Review monthly financial statements and adjust to improve performance.
• Coordinate activities with other branches to resolve customer, sales or operational issues.
• Accurately complete and submit all sales-related paperwork on time.
• Prepare market information and annual sales analysis and forecast.
• Hire, train, motivate, plan and direct branch personnel.
• Maintain an attractive store display and keep merchandise stocked.
• Conduct timely and quality performance appraisals of assigned personnel.
• Work with policies and comply with state, federal laws and company rules.
• Sell profitable sales growth to new and existing opportunities.
