You will recruit, develop, and retain talent, monitor market conditions, and ensure adherence to sales processes while building lasting customer relationships and achieving sales goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years equipment sales experience
• 3+ years sales management experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Agricultural Management preferred
• Familiar with John Deere and competitive products
• Proven managerial ability with coaching and developing others
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic knowledge of equipment financing and accounting
• Energetic with high energy and motivation to succeed
• Proficiency with John Deere sales computer applications and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Leads the branch development and deployment of a comprehensive sales strategy and long-term plans which integrates the business' values, mission, resources and goals
• Builds lasting relationships with customers focusing on long-term growth and dealership loyalty
• Manages an assigned sales territory and is accountable for achieving individual and branch sales objectives
• Maintains accurate customer, prospect, and sales activity information in dealership systems and follows the established sales process
• Manages, coaches, and develops the branch sales team to achieve sales goals and follow processes
• Oversees deal approvals and commission payouts
• Ensures the sales team adheres to department policies
• Creates development plans for sales professionals including training needs
• Monitors market conditions and pricing of competitors
• Represents the dealership in the local market to strengthen relationships and growth opportunities
