Job summary

Seva Enterprise LLP in the United States is seeking an experienced Branch Finance Controller to manage the finance and accounting operations of its Kansas branch. The role will oversee financial reporting, branch accounting, banking and trade finance, cash-flow management, MIS reporting and internal controls to support the commercial trading team.

Qualifications

• End-to-end accounting and finance operations management experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls and compliance.
• Experience with multinational/trading or commodity industries is a plus.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting and finance operations for the branch.
• Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in SAP, Q-Book or a similar ERP system.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, P&L, trading accounts and management reports.
• Perform bank reconciliation, ledger reviews and account reconciliation.
• Prepare MIS reports and manage cash flow and working capital.
• Coordinate with banks for trade-finance facilities and documentation.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review financial aspects of contracts and support trading activities.

The role will be responsible for financial reporting, branch accounting, banking and trade finance, cash-flow management, reconciliation, audits, compliance, MIS reporting, internal controls and support to the commercial trading team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting and finance operations for the branch.
  
• Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in SAP, Q-Book or a similar ERP system.
  
• Prepare monthly financial statements, profit and loss reports, trading accounts and management reports.
  
• Perform bank reconciliation, ledger reviews and account reconciliation.
  
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly MIS reports.
  
• Manage cash flow, fund planning and working-capital requirements.
  
• Coordinate with banks for trade-finance facilities, limits and documentation.
  
• Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable and overdue collections.
  
• Support inventory accounting and fixed-asset register maintenance.
  
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
  
• Ensure compliance with internal SOPs, local laws, taxation and statutory requirements.
  
• Review the financial aspects of commercial contracts.
  
• Support trade execution through KYC, documentation and coordination with customers, suppliers and banks.
  
• Strengthen financial processes, approval controls and internal checks.
  
• Ensure the smooth functioning of branch finance and administration.
  

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

1. Prior experience working in Kansas City, USA finance/accounting environment is strongly preferred
2. 5–7+ years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, controllership, or financial management
3. CA (India) and/or CPA (USA) preferred
4. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and compliance
5. Experience working with multinational organizations, trading, manufacturing, or similar industries is an advantage
6. Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
7. Must have valid authorization to work in the United States
