Job summary

Seva Ltd is seeking a Branch Finance Controller for its Kansas branch to manage the finance and accounting operations. The role covers financial reporting, branch accounting, cash-flow management, and internal controls in a multinational trading environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, ERP experience (SAP/Q-Book), and 5–7+ years of relevant experience. US work authorization is required; experience with cross-border transactions is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience, preferably in US/Kansas context.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls and compliance.
• Experience with multinational/trading or commodity environments is an asset.
• CA (India) and/or CPA (USA) certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting and finance operations for the Kansas branch.
• Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in SAP, Q-Book, or similar ERP system.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, P&L, trading accounts, and MIS reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations, ledger reviews and account reconciliation.
• Coordinate with banks for trade-finance facilities, limits and documentation.
• Support internal and external audits and compliance with SOPs and local laws.

One of Our leadingglobal commodity trading clients is seeking an experiencedBranch Finance Controller to manage the finance and accountingoperations of its Kansas branch.

The role will beresponsible for financial reporting, branch accounting, bankingand trade finance, cash-flow management, reconciliation, audits,compliance, MIS reporting, internal controls and support to thecommercial trading team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-endaccounting and finance operations for the branch.
• Ensure accuraterecording of financial transactions in SAP, Q-Book or asimilar ERP system.
• Prepare monthlyfinancial statements, profit and loss reports, tradingaccounts and management reports.
• Perform bankreconciliation, ledger reviews and account reconciliation.
• Prepare daily, weeklyand monthly MIS reports.
• Manage cash flow,fund planning and working-capital requirements.
• Coordinate with banksfor trade-finance facilities, limits and documentation.
• Monitor accountsreceivable, accounts payable and overdue collections.
• Support inventoryaccounting and fixed-asset register maintenance.
• Coordinate internaland external audits.
• Ensure compliancewith internal SOPs, local laws, taxation and statutory requirements.
• Review the financialaspects of commercial contracts.
• Support tradeexecution through KYC, documentation and coordination withcustomers, suppliers and banks.
• Strengthen financialprocesses, approval controls and internal checks.
• Ensure the smoothfunctioning of branch finance and administration.
  

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1.Prior experience working in Kansas City, USAfinance/accounting environment is strongly preferred
• 2. 5–7+ years of relevant experience in accounting, finance,controllership, or financial management
• 3. CA (India) and/or CPA (USA) preferred
• 4. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, internalcontrols, and compliance
• 5. Experience working with multinational organizations, trading,manufacturing, or similar industries is an advantage
• 6. Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
• 7. Must have valid authorization to work in the United States
