Job summary

GMV YMCA in Ohio is seeking a Branch Executive for our new Trenton facility opening February 2027. This role oversees administration, staff supervision, volunteer development, and program management to achieve strategic YMCA goals.

The ideal candidate will lead branch operations, maintain budgets, cultivate community partnerships, and ensure high-quality programs while complying with YMCA standards and practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or the equivalent required.
• 3+ years management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency.
• Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
• Proven track record of developing authentic and deepened relationships with others.
• Direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of Branch budget, marketing and public relations, and program development.
• Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manages, supervises, trains, and evaluates all key staff and volunteers, and assists in meeting developmental needs.
• Coordinates and facilitates staff meetings and personal/professional development opportunities.
• Recruits, selects, and maintains diverse advisory boards that support the Y’s goals and plans.
• Oversees development of all Branch board members and serves as staff officer to Branch boards and committees.
• Responsible for annual budget development, monthly budget monitoring, forecasts, and balanced budget achievement.
• Maintains financial controls including revenues, expenses, and inventories.
• Maintains safe, clean facilities; ensures safety and maintenance of facilities, grounds, and equipment.
• Ensures attainment of annual support campaign goals and works with the Association financial development department.
• Secures and maintains programs, membership, financial, personnel and participation records.
• Communicates community benefit and Y’s impact to stakeholders and builds relationships with organizations and government entities.
• Secures revenue to provide program services and grows revenue; builds a base of support through endowments.
• Ensures Branch offers high-quality programs compliant with YMCA standards and operations.
• Leads program development into unserved/underserved areas in the service area; collaborates with community leaders.
