Job summary

The National Council of Young Men’s Christian Associations of the United States of America (YMCA) is seeking a Branch Executive to oversee the administration and operation of the Great Miami Valley YMCA branch under the VP’s direction. This role emphasizes building community collaborations, developing volunteers, and managing staff and budgets to advance programs and public relations.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma required.
• Three or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or nonprofit.
• Ability to establish collaborations with community organizations.
• Proven track record of developing authentic relationships.
• Direct operations through volunteer development, staff supervision, budget, marketing/PR, and program development.
• Experience in volunteer involvement and recruiting community leaders.
• Ability to relate to diverse groups from all social/economic segments.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire.

Overview

Under the direction of the VP, the Branch Executive is accountable for the administration and operation of the Branch in accordance with the policies, procedures, and goals of the Great Miami Valley YMCA.

Qualifications

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Non-Profit Management or related field preferred. High school diploma or the equivalent required.
2. Experience: Three or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency.
3. Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
4. Proven track record of developing authentic and deepened relationships with others.
5. Ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of Branch budget, marketing and public relations, and program development.
6. Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders.
7. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
8. CPR and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire.
