About This Role

This role involves executing engineering standards related to our service and operations turnkey project portfolio, working closely with the Regional Engineering Leader to ensure continuous improvement and innovative engineering practices.

Responsibility Level

The Branch Engineering Manager leads the Branch Hardware and Software engineers, implementing initiatives and ensuring consistent deliverables. The role supports operational excellence and field execution, handling sensitive issues, and communicating effectively at all levels.

Duties

1. Analyze construction plans and specifications.
2. Motivate and negotiate with key stakeholders.
3. Coordinate with Automated Logic Factory for Field Operations insights.
4. Manage engineering teams to ensure accurate project deployment.
5. Oversee hardware drawings and software programs, manage budgets and resources.
6. Support the use of the EDS engineering platform and maintain communication channels.
7. Assist sales in meetings, scope reviews, and project negotiations.
8. Build vendor relationships for product enhancement.
9. Develop training and mentoring programs for engineers.
10. Participate in project reviews and team meetings.
11. Conduct interviews for engineering candidates.
12. Assist in revenue and manpower forecasting.
13. Represent Automated Logic professionally and proactively.
14. Ensure safety and ethics standards are met.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 10+ years in HVAC controls or Building Automation, or Associate Degree with 15+ years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced engineering or construction degree.
• Proficiency with building automation software, especially Automated Logic suites.
• Knowledge of communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2).
• Understanding of enterprise IP networks.
• Proficiency with CAD software like Microsoft Visio.
• Ability to translate technical info for diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
