Job summary

ProLift Rigging in Manassas, VA is seeking an Engineer to support heavy-lift and relocation projects. You will assist in designing, drafting, and evaluating solutions for complex lifts, working with the sales team and customers to ensure project success.

Responsibilities include field walk-downs, fabrication drawings, load testing plans, and risk assessments. A Mechanical/Civil Engineering degree and valid license are required, with travel and overtime expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent mechanical reasoning.
• Good perception of math applications, weights, measurement, and balance.
• Must be flexible with schedule, travel, and overtime.
• Must pass a drug test, fit for duty assessment, and background check.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist ProLift Sales Team in creating innovative heavy-lift/heavy-transport solutions.
• Perform Jobsite walk down with ProLift Sales lead to procure information for solution development and customer relationships.
• Provide project engineering support to contracted work as assigned by the Manager.
• Create support material for proposals (reference charts, Excel templates, whitepapers, etc.).
• Develop fabrication drawings and perform design calculations according to standards.
• Develop load test plans and participate in field testing activities for new equipment.
• Act as field technical liaison for critical lifts including risk management and safety evaluations.
• Develop documentation for gear including specs, operating instructions, maintenance requirements, test certificates, repair procedures, cost summaries, spare parts lists, etc.
• Complete ProLift Specific, Regulatory and Identified Equipment training as required.
• May be asked to complete 3rd party and customer required training to gain on-site access.
