Job summary

ProLift Rigging is a private, growth-oriented industrial construction company specializing in heavy lifting, rigging, and relocation solutions. This role provides project engineering support, field liaison for critical lifts, and development of fabrication drawings and load test plans.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, be willing to travel, pass a drug test and background check, and have strong math reasoning, organization, and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering required.
  • Strong mechanical reasoning and math sense.
  • Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.
  • Must pass drug test and background check.
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs. and maintain safety procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication; organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Sales Team in creating heavy-lift and relocation solutions.
  • Perform jobsite walk-downs to gather information for solutions and customer relations.
  • Provide project engineering support to contracted work.
  • Create support materials (charts, Excel templates, whitepapers) for proposals.
  • Develop fabrication drawings and perform design calculations per standards.
  • Develop load test plans and participate in field testing of new equipment.
  • Understand heavy rigging and transportation industry; act as field technical liaison for lifts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist ProLift Sales Team in creating innovative heavy-lift/heavy-transport solutions.
  • Perform Jobsite walk down with ProLift Sales lead as needed to procure information needed for solution development and/or to improve customer relationships.
  • Provide project engineering support to contracted work as assigned by the Manager.
  • Create support material that aids in the proposal creation or project engineering process.Examples include reference charts, Microsoft Excel templates, writing whitepapers on industry-specific topics, etc.
  • Develop fabrication drawings and perform design calculations according to company and industry standards.
  • Develop load test plans and participate in field testing activities for newly designed equipment
  • Develop an understanding of all facets of the heavy rigging and transportation industry.
  • Function as field technical liaison for critical lifts – includes risk management functions and safety evaluations of projects.
  • Develop documentation for new and existing gear including specification sheets, operating instructions, maintenance requirements, test certificates, repair procedures, cost summaries, spare parts lists, etc
  • Individuals will be expected to complete ProLift Specific, Regulatory and Identified Equipment training through our internal LMS system.
  • Individuals may be asked/required to complete 3rd party and customer required training to gain on-site access.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Must have excellent mechanical reasoning
  • Good perception of math applications, weights, measurement, and balance
  • Must be flexible with your schedule, able to travel, and able to work overtime
  • Must pass a drug test, fit for duty assessment, and background check
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering required

Administrative Skills:
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be organized, able to multi-task and team-oriented
  • Have attention to detail and be self-motivated
  • Able to plan, organize and execute daily requirements
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
