Job summary

HPC-Industrial, a Clean Harbors company, is seeking a Dispatcher to support internal and external customer requests and troubleshooting on a day-to-day basis. This permanent full-time role will coordinate and support a number of high-volume activities, including onboarding, training and travel logistics for the seasonal labor pool.

The position requires exemplary customer service, quick decision-making, and clear communication across divisions.

Qualifications

• High-volume recruitment/onboarding experience required.
• Industrial or oilfield experience preferred.
• Customer service background required.
• Proficient with Windows-based applications, especially Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must multi-task with attention to detail and make independent decisions.
• Travel overnight to sites may be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist branch manager with onboarding of seasonal labor; manage workflows and Driver applications.
• Schedule and assign training as required.
• Liaise with labor pool employees and help with system access and training navigation.
• Update training records in the Learning Management System.
• Answer calls from employees and internal customers professionally.
• Provide daily activity schedules for employees.
• Dispatch daily schedules to get people to work.
• Communicate schedule changes to promote engagement.
• Arrange travel for employees (flight/hotel).
• Maintain hours of service for labor pool drivers and ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain PPE inventory counts.
• Perform other duties as needed.

The role will have direct oversight our seasonal labor pool and will coordinate and support in a number of high-volume activities including onboarding, training and travel logistics.

• Assist branch manager with the hiring and onboarding of temp/seasonal labor pool employees; submission of workflows and Driver applications, maintaining personnel files and system databases.
• Schedules and assigns training as required.
• Acts as an available resource/ liaison for all labor pool employees; this may include troubleshooting our systems to assist employees with navigating online training assignments and/or with system access issues.
• Updates and maintains training records; includes data entries into Learning Management System.
• Take all phone calls from employees and other internal customers in a professional and courteous manner, fostering strong relationships with all customers.
• Provides a daily schedule of employees’ activities.
• Manages and dispatches a daily schedule for all employees -to manage the board and get people out to work.
• Communicates daily with all employees to confirm awareness of schedule and to promote employee engagement.
• Arranges/coordinates travel for employees; includes booking flights and securing hotel accommodations.
• Maintains hours of service on all labor pool drivers; ensures employees are compliant with company policies and legislative standards including electronic logs.
• Maintains and reports on PPE inventory counts.
• Performs other duties and tasks as required by the Clean Harbors business needs.

Qualifications

• Previous high-volume recruitment and/or onboarding experience
• Industrial or oilfield experience preferred;
• Customer Service based background required
• Proficient in Windows based applications, especially Microsoft Excel;
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and make decisions independently;
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
• Proven commitment to providing outstanding customer service;
• Potential travel overnight to sites if necessary;
