Job summary

HPC-Industrial, a Clean Harbors company, is seeking a Dispatcher to support internal and external customer requests, coordinate travel, onboarding, training and the seasonal labor pool. This is a permanent full-time role with a focus on safety, communication, and fast decision-making.

You will manage daily schedules, dispatch drivers, handle the site operations at 904 Courses Landing Rd, and ensure compliance with policies and electronic logs.

Qualifications

  • High-volume recruitment and onboarding experience.
  • Industrial or oilfield experience preferred.
  • Customer service background required.
  • Proficient in Windows-based applications, especially Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with multi-tasking ability and independent decisions.
  • Willingness to travel overnight to sites if necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize health and safety in all activities and actions.
  • Assist branch manager with hiring/onboarding of temp labor; manage workflows and driver applications; maintain personnel files.
  • Schedule and coordinate training as required.
  • Serve as a liaison for labor pool employees; troubleshoot systems for training access.
  • Update training records and enter data in the LMS.
  • Answer calls from employees and internal customers professionally.
  • Provide daily activity schedules for employees.
  • Dispatch daily schedules to ensure people are at work.
  • Communicate daily with employees to confirm schedule awareness.
  • Arrange travel for employees including flights and hotels.
  • Maintain service hours for labor pool drivers and ensure policy compliance.
  • Monitor PPE inventory counts.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

HPC-Industrial is seeking a Dispatcher. This is a permanent full-time role that will support all internal and external customer requests and troubleshooting on a day-to-day basis. This is a high-volume role that will require exemplary customer service, ability to make quick decisions and maintain good communication lines between other divisions within the team on regular basis. The role will have direct oversight our seasonal labor pool and will coordinate and support in a number of high-volume activities including onboarding, training and travel logistics.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Assist branch manager with the hiring and onboarding of temp/seasonal labor pool employees; submission of workflows and Driver applications, maintaining personnel files and system databases.
  • Schedules and assigns training as required.
  • Acts as an available resource/ liaison for all labor pool employees; this may include troubleshooting our systems to assist employees with navigating online training assignments and/or with system access issues.
  • Updates and maintains training records; includes data entries into Learning Management System.
  • Take all phone calls from employees and other internal customers in a professional and courteous manner, fostering strong relationships with all customers.
  • Provides a daily schedule of employees' activities.
  • Manages and dispatches a daily schedule for all employees -to manage the board and get people out to work.
  • Communicates daily with all employees to confirm awareness of schedule and to promote employee engagement.
  • Arranges/coordinates travel for employees; includes booking flights and securing hotel accommodations.
  • Maintains hours of service on all labor pool drivers; ensures employees are compliant with company policies and legislative standards including electronic logs.
  • Maintains and reports on PPE inventory counts.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as required by the Clean Harbors business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous high-volume recruitment and/or onboarding experience
  • Industrial or oilfield experience preferred;
  • Customer Service based background required
  • Proficient in Windows based applications, especially Microsoft Excel;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and make decisions independently;
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
  • Proven commitment to providing outstanding customer service;
  • Potential travel overnight to sites if necessary;
