Job summary

UNITED REFRIGERATION, INC. in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a full-time Delivery Driver to support daily branch operations, including deliveries, pulling orders, and stock put-away. You will ensure safe driving, accurate paperwork, and courteous customer service.

The role requires DOT-compliant driving, vehicle inspections, and handling shipments with UPS, FedEx, and other carriers. Overtime may be required during peak seasons with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• DOT regulations and safety inspections.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and handle cargo.
• Experience driving and delivering to customers.
• Comfort with paperwork and log keeping.
• Ability to work with vendors and customers.

Responsibilities

• Have and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Make deliveries to and pick-ups from customers, other branches/warehouses, and vendors/suppliers
• Pull orders for customers
• Load and unload shipments/deliveries using proper equipment
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance functions according to DOT regulations.
• Comply with all federal, state and company requirements pertaining to motor vehicle laws and accident reporting.
• Keep up daily trip logs, pre and post inspection reports, monthly fuel reports
• Prepare product for shipment via UPS, FedEx and common carrier
• Receive shipments from UPS, FedEx and common carrier
• Handle and process paperwork on damaged product.
• Prepare Returns and Reclaims for shipment including appropriate paperwork
• Break down and put away stock using proper equipment
• Greet customers promptly and courteously by name (if known)
• Answer telephones promptly and courteously identifying yourself and the company
• Regular and punctual attendance
• Assist at counter as needed
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment inside and out; i.e., empty trash, sweep floors, clean bathroom(s), etc.
• Perform related jobs as required
