Job summary

ATF in Martinsburg, WV seeks a Branch Chief for the Denial Enforcement & NICS Intelligence Branch within the Office of Intelligence Operations. The role provides leadership, manages analytic studies and ensures compliant handling of sensitive information.

You'll direct complex programs, coordinate with federal, state and local partners, and drive improvements in data management to support mission-critical firearm enforcement efforts.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in managing analytical or compliance-driven programs with data review and trend identification.
• Develop standardized procedures, assess workflow, and implement enhancements to improve information integrity and responsiveness.
• Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership with data-informed briefings and actionable recommendations.
• Lead cross-functional coordination with internal and external partners to improve information sharing and monitor performance.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Branch Chief and manages the Denial Enforcement and NICS Intelligence Branch operations and personnel.
• Conducts complex in-depth studies related to branch programs with other agencies and organizations.
• Directs and coordinates working groups on major programmatic issues and maintains tracking systems for progress of activities.
• Ensures proper storage and safe handling of all material related to the report of firearm sales.
