Job summary

Uline is seeking a Branch Buyer to stock its new Connecticut warehouse and support inventory planning, purchasing and vendor relations. You will help keep products moving and orders on track from our Pleasant Prairie leadership base.

Responsibilities include managing inventory for a 1.2 million-square-foot facility, placing transfer orders, building vendor partnerships, and mentoring Associate Buyers. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in supply chain or related fields are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, demand forecasting or related fields.
• Experience with demand and fulfillment software, like Blue Yonder (JDA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory levels and purchasing for Uline’s new 1.2 million-square-foot Connecticut facility, ensuring products are available to meet customer demand.
• Plan and place transfer orders from Uline distribution centers and purchase orders with vendors to maintain optimal inventory and service levels.
• Build strong partnerships with vendors and distribution management to ensure product availability and resolve issues.
• Partner with Product Managers to address vendor issues, implement product changes and evaluate potential product additions.
• Mentor and develop Associate Buyers while helping the team achieve purchasing goals.
