Job summary

Uline, a family-owned distributor of shipping, industrial, and packaging materials, is seeking a Branch Buyer to support stocking for a Connecticut facility while collaborating with vendors and internal teams at Uline’s corporate HQ in Wisconsin.

The role emphasizes inventory planning, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring junior team members to achieve purchasing goals, with a focus on timely product availability and cost-effective sourcing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 3 years in supply chain, purchasing, or related fields.
• Experience with demand/fulfillment software (Blue Yonder/JDA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory levels and purchasing for Uline's new Connecticut facility, ensuring products are available to meet customer demand.
• Plan and place transfer orders from Uline distribution centers and purchase orders with vendors to maintain optimal inventory and service levels.
• Build strong partnerships with vendors and distribution management to ensure product availability and resolve issues.
• Partner with Product Managers to address vendor issues, implement product changes and evaluate potential product additions.
• Mentor and develop Associate Buyers while helping the team achieve purchasing goals.
