Job summary

Global Connect Technologies is seeking an experienced brake systems engineer to drive development from concept to production. You will design and implement DVP&Rs for brake components, plan vehicle and component tests, and lead validation studies across performance, durability, NVH, and environmental testing.

The role requires strong problem solving, data analysis, and collaboration with design, CAE, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure compliant, high- quality brake systems for vehicle

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in brake system development, validation, or testing within an Automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier.
  • Strong experience creating and executing DVP&R.
  • Hands-on experience with brake performance testing, durability testing, NVH testing.
  • Knowledge of brake system components, hydraulics, calipers, rotors, ABS, and brake controls.
  • Experience with vehicle instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and test data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead brake system development activities from concept through production.
  • Develop and execute Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) for brake system components and assemblies.
  • Plan, coordinate, and perform brake validation testing, including vehicle and component-level testing.
  • Conduct brake performance, durability, environmental, and NVH testing.
  • Execute test plans, collect data using data acquisition systems, and analyze test results.
  • Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with design, CAE, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Support brake system integration, calibration, and validation activities during vehicle development.
  • Ensure compliance with internal engineering standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports and present validation findings to project stakeholders.
