Job summary

The Armor Group in Mason, OH is seeking an experienced Brake Press Set-Up/Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you will independently set up and operate brake presses, shears, and related equipment to produce parts to exact specifications while minimizing scrap.

You have a high school diploma or GED and 5+ years of shear and press experience; familiarity with Amada equipment and Fanuc controls is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Five or more years of shear and press experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Amada equipment and Fanuc controls a plus!
  • Ability to set up brake presses, shears, saws, and die punch presses without assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate brake presses, shears, saws, and die punch presses independently.
  • Press and cut metal accurately to required measurements and specifications.
  • Inspect work for quality while minimizing scrap and material waste.
  • Follow safe, efficient work practices and keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Train and educate employees on brake presses, shears, saws, and die punch presses.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing personnel, project managers, and the area supervisor.
  • Complete additional duties assigned by the manager.

Armor is looking for experienced Brake Press Set-Up/Operators to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you will independently set up and operate metal-forming and cutting equipment, produce parts to exact measurements, reduce scrap, and help teammates build their skills. Positions available on 1st and 2nd shifts. 5a-330p or 330p-2a

What You’ll Do
  • Set up and operate brake presses, shears, saws, and die punch presses independently.
  • Press and cut metal accurately to required measurements and specifications.
  • Inspect work for quality while minimizing scrap and material waste.
  • Follow safe, efficient work practices and keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Train and educate employees on brake presses, shears, saws, and die punch presses.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing personnel, project managers, and the area supervisor.
  • Complete additional duties assigned by the manager.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or GED.
