Job summary

Postle Operating LLC in Elkhart, IN is seeking a Brake Press Operator responsible for setting up and running brake press machines to bend, form, and shape metal parts. You will read blueprints, select tooling, inspect parts, and maintain safety and quality in a manufacturing environment.

The role reports to the Production Supervisor and requires the ability to read drawings, operate tooling, and communicate effectively with the team to meet production goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Reading technical drawings and blueprints
• Using precision measuring instruments
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the top priority.
• Set up and operate brake press per specifications and work orders.
• Read and interpret blueprints and instructions.
• Select tooling and dies, adjust machine settings.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy with calipers and measuring tools.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust for quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Follow safety guidelines and company procedures.
• Communicate with team to meet production goals and deadlines.
