Job summary

The Beaver Dam facility of Metalcraft is seeking an experienced Brake Press Operator to operate hydraulic or punch presses on 2nd or 3rd shifts. You will select tooling, load and install dies, and ensure parts meet time and quality standards.

Responsibilities include keeping logs, assisting with preventative maintenance, and following safety rules. Experience with blueprints and basic shop math is important for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong metal press forming and basic fabrication background.
• Competent with basic dimensional measuring and precision tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.
• Good math skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hydraulic or punch press for established work.
• Select tooling for the job task with setup documents or supervision.
• Load, install and set up tools with assistance as needed.
• Meet time and quality standards and document progress.
• Use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek help.
• Maintain safety and follow corporate and plant standards.
• Operate and maintain logs and perform light preventative maintenance.
• Adjust machine speeds or actions per product specs using gauges.
