Job summary

General ThermoDynamics is seeking a Brake Press Operator for the Iron Ridge facility to safely set up and run hydraulic and CNC brake presses forming heat exchanger components. You will ensure parts meet specifications, read blueprints, and maintain accurate production records.

You will work with welders, laser operators, QA, and material handlers in a factory environment, following safety procedures and 5S standards to support feeder operations for the Franklin site.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of brake press or fabrication equipment experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and use precision measuring tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• High attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate brake press equipment to bend, form, and straighten metal sheets and components.
• Select tooling, die, and machine settings based on work orders and blueprints.
• Perform first-piece inspections and adjust settings to meet specs.
• Use MES digital workstation to start jobs and maintain production records.
• Collaborate with welders, laser operators, QA, and material handlers to support workflow.
