Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. is seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team in Wisconsin.

You will set up and operate Cincinnati hydraulic CNC press brakes to form metal parts according to blueprints and specifications, selecting tooling and ensuring quality in a fast-paced, just-in-time environment. The ideal candidate has a background in metal forming or fabrication, strong mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment or metal forming preferred.
• Background in metal forming or fabrication with mechanical aptitude.
• Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and shop drawings.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic shop math skills and ability to use precision measuring tools.
• Experience with hydraulic presses, press brakes, or similar equipment preferred.
• Forklift operation ability is required or preferred.
• Lean manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Cincinnati hydraulic CNC press brakes and punch press equipment.
• Select tooling based on job requirements and setup documentation.
• Load and install tooling with assistance as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints and production specs.
• Measure parts to verify dimensions and quality.
• Enter production data into the data collection system.
• Safely operate a forklift to move materials and parts.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic manufacturing issues.
• Report concerns related to material, production, equipment, or quality.
• Maintain equipment performance logs and communicate maintenance needs.
• Participate in operator-level preventative maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Assist other operators or production areas as needed.
