Job summary

American Products in Strafford MO is seeking a Brake Press Operator (Class B) for the 2nd shift. You will operate brake press equipment, read blueprints, and maintain quality while working a 4-day week with a $19–$20/hour base pay plus a $2/hour shift differential.

The role offers training to develop blueprint reading skills, opportunities for advancement, and a team-oriented environment in a stable metal fabrication operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Manufacturing or brake press experience is a plus.
• Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Ability to learn blueprint reading and technical drawings (training provided).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic math and measurement skills preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic required.

Responsibilities

• Operate brake press machines to bend, form, and shape metal parts.
• Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and production instructions.
• Load and unload materials while ensuring proper alignment and positioning.
• Inspect finished parts to verify quality and specifications.
• Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain product quality.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Record production information accurately.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
