Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a Brake Press Operator to join our shop floor. The role involves fastening dies, programming and storing part programs, and following blueprints to lay out work.

You will position pieces by hand or with a crane and operate the press to shape metal while checking dimensions and making adjustments as needed. The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma or GED (or 1–3 months related training), demonstrate reliability, and be able to work well in a team

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred, or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to train and work with others (Team Concept).
• Reliability and dependability in performing duties.

Responsibilities

• Turns setscrews or bolts to fasten clamp bar that holds dies in position.
• Writes part programs and stores in machine.
• Lays out or details layout on work stock from blueprints.
• Positions work piece manually or with crane.
• Starts machine to lower ram or depresses pedal to activate ram that bends or cuts metal.
• Verifies dimensions of work piece and makes adjustments if necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
