Job summary

MEC (Mayville Engineering Company, Inc.) in Wisconsin is seeking a Brake Press Operator to set up and operate brake presses, ensuring parts meet print specifications and quality standards.

You will follow blueprints, write and store part programs, lay out stock, position pieces manually or with a crane, start the ram, verify dimensions, and perform other duties as assigned, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience and/or training preferred.
• Ability to train and work with others (Team Concept).

• Turns setscrews or bolts to fasten clamp bar that holds dies in position.
• Writes part programs and stores in machine.
• Lays out or details layout on work stock from blueprints.
• Positions work piece manually or with crane.
• Starts machine to lower ram or depresses pedal to activate ram that bends or cuts metal.
• Verifies dimensions of work piece and makes adjustments if necessary.
• Other duties as assigned
