Job summary

FastTrack Staffing is seeking a Press Brake Operator to join our client’s team in Michigan. The role requires setting up and operating a press brake, reading blueprints, and delivering quality parts that meet specifications.

You will record production data in the ERP system, follow safety standards, and maintain a clean work area. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of press brake experience with set-up skills.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed work instructions, blueprints, drawings.
• Proficiency with hand tools and measuring devices (calipers, micrometers).
• Familiarity with ERP systems for production tracking.
• Physically capable of lifting 35–40 lbs and standing or sitting for long periods.

Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a Press Brake Operators to become an integral part of our clients team. Press Brake Operators perform tasks that are essential to our production processes.

Job Duties

• Ability to produce quality parts that meet company/customer specifications.
• Record daily production and scrap in ERP system.
• Ability to read and comprehend detailed work instructions, blueprints, and/or drawings.
• Ability to follow daily schedules and meet production goals.
• Follow industry and company policies, procedures and safety standards at all times.
• Effectively communicates any issues affecting production to the team lead or supervisor
• Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs. Activities include lifting, stooping, twisting and bending on a regular basis.
• Set up, adjust, and operate a press brake to perform a wide variety of operations.
• Properly change tooling, ram position, ram speed and backstop position as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Receive work order through Plex
• Review, obtain and set-up tooling
• Press first piece and adjust press brake as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ year press brake experience.
• Ability to properly set up and operate Brake Press
• Working knowledge of calipers, micrometers, and tape measures, etc.
• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Be able to lift up-to 35 lbs on a regular basis. Occasionally lift up-to 40 lbs.
• Be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
