Job summary

Siemens AG, Wendell, NC, seeks a Brake Press Machine Operator for the 2nd shift to set up, operate, and troubleshoot Trumpf Press Brake tooling and produce steel, aluminum, and copper parts per blueprints. Role includes reading blueprints, maintaining safety standards, and collaborating with leads to optimize manufacturing flow.

The position offers 3:00 PM–11:30 PM hours, training on 1st shift, and pay of $22.46 per hour plus $1.50 shift differential.

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications include Brake Press setup, operation, and tooling changes.
• Ability to read 2D & 3D blueprints, apply basic shop math, and use basic measuring tools.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift and perform physical tasks including stooping, bending, squatting, crawling, and climbing.
• Must be able to reach, grasp, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull/slide materials.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Operate Trumpf Press Brake and load/run offline bending programs per blueprint specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints for steel and galvanized parts per ISO standards.
• Collaborate with Group Lead/Supervisor to support manufacturing operations.
• Complete confirmation documentation in a manufacturing data system using computers.
• Support production by following documented processes to ensure accurate completion of confirmations.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and equipment.

We are looking for a Brake Press Machine Operator to join our 2nd shift team. This position will be based at our Wendell, NC location.

Shift Hours

3:00 PM- 11:30 PM

Hourly Rate

$22.46 + $1.50 Shift Differential

Please Note

You will train on the 1st shift for a period of time, at the manager’s discretion, before moving over to the 2nd shift.

Basic Qualifications

• Prior experience and knowledge in Brake Press setup, operation, and selecting/changing Press Brake tooling.
• Ability to read 2D & 3D blueprints, apply basic shop math, demonstrate digital literacy, and use basic mechanical/measuring tools.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.
• Ability to work standing for the entire shift and perform physical tasks including stooping, bending, squatting, crawling, and climbing.
• Must be able to reach, grasp, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull/slide materials.
• Capable of safely performing physical labor in a manufacturing environment while meeting all job requirements.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

• High School diploma or equivalent

You’llmake an impact by:

• Operate Trumpf Press Brake, including brake press setup to form steel, aluminum, and copper per blueprint specifications, and load, set up, and run offline bending programs for metal parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints for steel and galvanized parts while working in accordance with ISO and established work standards.
• Work directly with or under the direction of a Group Lead and/or Supervisor to support manufacturing operations.
• Complete confirmation documentation in a manufacturing data management system and access/utilize required documents using computers (e.g., Quality and Safety Documents, Operating Instructions).
• Support product manufacturing and assembly by following documented processes to ensure accurate completion of confirmations.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work areas to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions.

The pay for this position is $22.46 per hour, plus an additional $1.50 shift differential. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
