Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service brake systems, alignments and suspensions. You will install parts, test batteries, rebalance tires and calibrate TPMS while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced shop environment.

You will operate equipment, assist teammates, drive service vehicles for offsite work, and participate in safety and quality procedures across our store network.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 lb, occasional 75 lb.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and standing.

Responsibilities

• Install or service brake, suspension and steering components.
• Test and install batteries and TPMS components.
• Dismount/mount tires, rebalance wheels, and recalibrate TPMS.
• Use tools and equipment for vehicle service.
• Assist other employees and provide customer service.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repairs.
• Operate service vehicles for offsite work.

Job Description: Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components
• Testing and installing batteries
• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components
• Using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools
• Assisting other employees
• Test driving vehicles
• Operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services
• Provides excellent customer service
• Refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary

Experience:

Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing

Pay and Benefits:

Pay: $14.85 - $24.50
