Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to install and service brake, suspension, and alignment components, including TPMS work and tire services. You will test drive vehicles, assist teammates, and perform offsite road service as needed, while delivering top-notch customer service at the store.

Applicants should hold a valid driver’s license, demonstrate strong customer service skills, and withstand a physically demanding environment with lifting requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a rapid pace environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Install or service hydraulic/electric brake systems, suspension, alignment parts.
• Test and install batteries.
• Dismount/mount tire and wheel assemblies, rebalance wheels, TPMS work.
• Use equipment and tools to perform tasks.
• Assist other employees.
• Test drive vehicles.
• Operate service vehicles for offsite/road service.
• Provide excellent customer service and refer customers to qualified staff.

Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components
• Testing and installing batteries
• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components
• Using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools
• Assisting other employees
• Test driving vehicles
• Operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services
• Providing excellent customer service
• Refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary

Experience:

Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Pay and Benefits:

$14.85 - $24.50 For full time positions after eligibility criteria are met, benefits include:
