Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician in Rochester, MN to service and install brake, alignment and suspension components, test drive vehicles, and deliver excellent customer service.

The role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to lift heavy parts, and the stamina to work in a fast-paced shop. You may perform offsite road service as needed and participate in our comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.

Responsibilities

• Install or service brake, alignment, suspension systems and related components.
• Test drive vehicles and perform offsite/roadside service when needed.
• Disassemble/assemble tire and wheel assemblies and rebalance wheels.
• Use tools and equipment to diagnose and repair brake and alignment issues.
• Provide excellent customer service and refer customers to qualified colleagues.

Job Description: Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components.
• Testing and installing batteries.
• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components.
• Using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools.
• Assisting other employees.
• Test driving vehicles.
• Operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.
• Provides excellent customer service; refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.

Experience

Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Pay and Benefits
