Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers in Spanaway, WA is hiring Brake & Alignment Technicians to install and service brake systems, suspensions, alignments, drive trains and power steering components; duties include battery testing, tire mounting and TPMS work, and safe operation of service vehicles.

You will provide excellent customer service, work in a fast-paced environment, and join a team that offers on-the-job training, benefits, and a path to advancement.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.

Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components.
• Testing and installing batteries.
• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components.
• Using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools.
• Assisting other employees.
• Test driving vehicles; and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.
• Providing excellent customer service; refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.
