Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers in Washington state is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to install and service brake systems, suspension, alignment, drive train and steering components, and to test batteries. You will dismount and remount tire/wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels and calibrating TPMS as needed.

You will use shop equipment and basic hand tools, provide excellent customer service, and assist other technicians.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.

Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components.
• Testing and installing batteries.
• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components.
• Using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools.
• Assisting other employees.
• Test driving vehicles; and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.
• Providing excellent customer service; refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.
