Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is hiring a Brake & Alignment Technician to service and install brake, alignment, and suspension systems, and to provide outstanding customer service. You will test components, drive vehicles for diagnostics, and assist other technicians as needed.

Candidates should have a valid driver's license, be able to lift up to 75 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment. The role includes on-site responsibilities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.

• Frequent lifting up to 75 pounds and regular bending, twisting, kneeling.
• Ability to drive and test drive vehicles as part of service checks.

Responsibilities

• Install or service brake systems, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering components.
• Test batteries and diagnose related issues.
• Dismount/mount tires, rebalance wheels, and calibrate TPMS components as needed.
• Operate service vehicles for offsite or emergency road calls.
• Provide excellent customer service and refer to qualified colleagues when appropriate.

Job Description:

Brake & Alignment Technician Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components;
• testing and installing batteries;
• dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components;
• using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools;
• assisting other employees;
• test driving vehicles;
• and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.;
• Provides excellent customer service; refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.

Experience:

Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license;
• excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment;
• frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds;
• frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.

Pay and Benefits:
