Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is hiring Brake & Alignment Technicians to service brake systems, alignments, suspensions, and related components. You will install, test, and recalibrate parts, perform battery service, and drive service vehicles as needed. Strong customer service and physical ability are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing

Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing brake, alignment, suspension and steering components
• Testing and installing batteries
• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and TPMS calibration
• Using equipment and hand tools
• Assisting other employees
• Test driving vehicles
• Operating service vehicles for offsite and emergency road services
• Providing excellent customer service
• Refer customers to other qualified employees as necessary

Job Description

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components
• testing and installing batteries
• dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components
• using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools
• assisting other employees
• test driving vehicles
• operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services
• Provides excellent customer service
• refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary

Experience: Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

For full time positions after eligibility criteria are met.
