Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service brake systems, alignments, suspensions, and related components while delivering excellent customer service. The role includes testing batteries, tire mounting/dismounting, TPMS work, and driving service vehicles as needed.

Applicants should hold a valid driver’s license and be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with the physical capability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform bending and squatting.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a rapid pace environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 75 pounds and bending/kneeling.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate service vehicles when required.

Responsibilities

• Install or service brake, suspension, alignment, and power steering components.
• Test batteries and drive tests on vehicles.
• Dismount/mount tire and wheel assemblies, rebalance wheels, and calibrate TPMS components.
• Use tools and equipment safely to perform service tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service and refer to other qualified staff as needed.

Job Description:

Brake & Alignment Technician Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components;
• testing and installing batteries;
• dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components;
• using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools;
• assisting other employees;
• test driving vehicles;
• and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.;
• Provides excellent customer service; refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.

Experience:

Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license;
• excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment;
• frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds;
• frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.

Pay and Benefits:
