Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support our providers in delivering exceptional patient care. In this role, you’ll work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.

What You’ll Do: Welcome patients, document histories and vitals, assist with exams and procedures, administer medications, and educate patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus completion of accredited MA program and externship/internship.
• Credentialing: CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA or EMT/Paramedic license preferred in Michigan.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

MA program completed

EMT/Paramedic licensure or credentialing
