Job summary

Stony Brook University seeks a Research Support Specialist to assist behavioral and brain imaging studies involving psychiatric and healthy participants. You will recruit and screen participants, run study procedures, and manage data and regulatory documents.

The role supports MRI, PET, EEG, and neuromodulation tasks, collaborates with scanner technicians, and contributes to budget and procurement activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Experience in a research laboratory involving brain imaging of human subjects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite study procedures with patients and healthy controls.
• Recruit, screen, and schedule research participants.
• Maintain study charts for IRB compliance.
• Maintain collected data in an electronic database.
• Help maintain a federal funded study budget with respect to participant payments, receipt reconciliation, PI travel, and ordering study supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.
