Position Overview

The University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine, Department of Neurology seeks an Assistant Specialist in the Glover Lab, led by Dr. Crystal M. Glover. The lab studies aging and brain health among at‑risk special populations and manages grant‑funded projects that focus on rigorous study design, decision making in older age, research participation and retention, caregiving experiences, and protective factors for healthy aging.

As lab coordinator, the successful candidate will support a portfolio of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed‑methods research projects. This includes facilitating study design, managing data collection and analysis, coordinating approvals and compliance, engaging with community science initiatives, and supporting participant recruitment and retention. Key responsibilities also involve maintaining research protocols, tracking study progress, and collaborating with team members.

Salary

Salary range: $61,300–$80,000 (based on UC‐Schedule, step, and experience). Refer to the 2025–26 Represented Scale for exact numbers.

Special Conditions

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel by car within Orange County. Weekends may be required.
