Job summary

University of California San Diego is seeking an experienced Neuropathology Research Center Administrator to lead the Brain Health Accelerator (BHA) Center operations. The role reports to the PI/Center Director and BHA leadership, establishing the center's agenda, objectives, and the delivery of finance, HR, facilities, and business operations.

Qualifications

• Nine (9) years of related experience, education/training, OR an Advanced degree in related area plus three years of related experience/training, preferably in brain biorepository.
• Experience in neurodegenerative disease research environment preferred.
• Strong administrative, budgetary and human resources skills.

Responsibilities

• Administers all finance, human resources and facilities and other operational activities for small to midsized academic or research program.
• Develops and organizes conferences and other public forums.
• Manages budgets and reporting for federally and privately funded research programs.
• Oversees hiring, supervision, and performance management for diverse research staff.
• Serves as primary liaison to the Department business office, School of Medicine, and external agencies.
