Job summary

EOS seeks a banquet bartender to prepare and serve beverages across resort banquet spaces. You will set up bars per BEOs, maintain stock and cleanliness, and ensure fast, friendly service for guests during events.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes, portioning standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Provide professional, friendly, and efficient service at banquet bars and event spaces.
• Set up banquet bar areas per Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) with proper equipment and glassware.
• Maintain bar areas, keep them clean, stocked, and organized during events.
• Break down bar areas after events and manage cleaning, storage, and inventory.
• Monitor guest consumption and ensure responsible service and legal compliance.
• Verify IDs and ensure guests meet legal drinking age.
• Track beverage consumption for hosted and on-consumption events.
• Handle cash, tickets, or billing as required by event specs.
• Collaborate with banquet team, culinary staff, and leadership for smooth service flow.
• Communicate timing and guest needs effectively during events.
• Support event setup/breakdown, including banquet operations beyond the bar.
• Maintain cleanliness across bar/service areas throughout events.
• Address guest concerns professionally and escalate when needed.
• Maintain a positive, professional, team-oriented attitude.

JOB SUMMARY:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes, portioning standards, and presentation guidelines
• Provide professional, friendly, and efficient service to guests at banquet bars and event spaces
• Maintain knowledge of all beverage offerings including cocktails, beer, wine, and event-specific selections
• Set up banquet bar areas according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), including proper placement of equipment, glassware, and product
• Ensure bar areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked prior to and throughout events
• Break down bar areas following events, ensuring proper cleaning, storage, and inventory handling
• Monitor guest consumption and ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with all applicable laws and company policies
• Verify identification of guests to ensure legal drinking age compliance
• Maintain accurate tracking of beverage consumption for hosted and on-consumption events
• Ensure proper handling of cash, tickets, or billing procedures as required by event specifications
• Work collaboratively with banquet team members, culinary staff, and leadership to ensure efficient service flow
• Communicate effectively regarding timing, guest needs, and event execution
• Assist with event setup and breakdown as needed, including support of banquet operations outside of the bar when required
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all bar and service areas throughout events
• Handle guest concerns professionally and escape issues to leadership when appropriate
• Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

• Ability to stand and remain active for up to 10-12 hours
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40-50 lbs, including cases of product and bar equipment
• Ability to move quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced event environment
• Ability to set up and break down bar equipment and banquet spaces
• Ability to navigate stairs and multiple event venues across the resort
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

TECHNOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT USED:

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
