Job summary

Texas Department Of Criminal Justice is seeking an entry-level parole administrator to provide supervision to inmates and assist with parole investigations. You will gather information and prepare parole documents while operating under close supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment.

The role expects at least 60 college hours and 2 years in case management or related fields; a Bachelor’s degree and knowledge of motivational interviewing are a plus.

Job Duties:

Performs entry-level parole administration work. Work involves providing supervision to inmates; conducting parole investigations; and obtaining information for and preparing parole administration documentation. Works under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

You’d be a GOOD fit if:

You have 60 accredited college hours and 2 years experience with case management, case processing, criminal justice, or the military. You have the ability to get along with others as part of a team. You have a good working knowledge of computers and electronic communication.

Additional Information:

Retiree Salary Will be 2.5% less than the posted salary. Travel None - Position may make day trips, but no overnight trips.
