Job summary

Brazos Paving, Inc. is seeking an on-site Safety, Operations, and Foreman for sewer, water and storm drain projects in Bryan, TX. You will supervise field crews, ensure safety standards, and coordinate with project managers and agencies to keep projects on time and within budget.

Experience in underground utility construction and read plans accurately. Strong communication and coordination skills are essential to deliver high-quality work and maintain client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in underground wet utility pipelines, excavation, and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications with accuracy.
• Capable of coordinating labor, materials, and equipment within budget and schedule.
• Plan and allocate resources, including sand, gravel, and other materials, to minimize waste.
• Conduct weekly safety meetings and coordinate with other trades.

Position Summary

Responsible for managing on‑site safety, operations, and installation of sewer, water, and storm drain projects, directing and training field personnel, and demonstrating effective communication with project managers, superintendents, and other governing agencies to ensure on‑time and on‑budget productivity. Oversee multiple job sites, maintain current project status and issues, and build strong customer relationships through responsive service, reliability, and quality work.

Qualifications

• Specific experience in underground utility construction.
• Experience in removal, installation, and repair of underground wet utility pipelines and structures.
• Experienced safety monitor with a full understanding of confined space and trench safety standards.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications with accuracy.
• Ability to control labor, material, supply, and equipment cost to assure the job is completed on schedule and within budget.
• Assure that only required amounts of sand, gravel and other materials are used on the job; plan and monitor the work so material is not wasted.
• Plan next week’s job activities to determine the number of crew members needed each day; schedule deliveries of materials, supplies, and equipment in advance.
• Accurately complete weekly timecards, daily reports, etc.
• Able to cooperate and coordinate with other trades on the job site.
• Conduct weekly safety meetings.
