Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for Bozeman, MT, to work with experienced engineers on analysis, design, inspections, and reports during the 10–12 week summer program. You will gain hands-on exposure to civic design and site drainage, supporting residential and land development projects while contributing to budgets and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required.
• May be required to assist with field duties such as surveying and materials testing.
• Strong interest in design consulting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, CAD software and BIM is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of projects related to discipline systems according to code and IMEG standards.
• Assist with researching commercially available equipment and resources.
• Assist with client relations, project design notebooks, and documentation for permanent record files.
• Assist with coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines, including architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers.
• Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.
• Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check.
• Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and all other services as required by the contract services agreement.
