Job summary

The Bishop’s School in La Jolla, CA seeks a dedicated High School Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse Head Coach to lead and develop the boys’ lacrosse program across Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Middle School levels. This part-time seasonal role starts December 1, 2026 and covers pre-season, spring, and playoffs.

Responsibilities include leading practices, guiding competition strategy, ensuring CIF compliance, and fostering growth, teamwork, sportsmanship, and character in student-athletes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated coaching and leadership in lacrosse.
• Ability to mentor student-athletes and build positive relationships.
• Knowledge of CIF rules and competition standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead daily practices and team activities.
• Prepare student-athletes for interscholastic competition; emphasize skill development and sportsmanship.
• Maintain knowledge of CIF and league rules.
• Communicate goals, development, and expectations to players.
• Evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Support conditioning and wellbeing of student-athletes.
• Monitor records and reports; manage program logistics.
• Utilize HUDL for game analysis and player development.
• Assist with home contests and transportation as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
