Job summary

Plymouth-Canton Community Schools seeks a JV coach at Plymouth High School to lead program organization, manage equipment, and oversee awards and a season summary. The role requires a high school diploma and coaching or playing experience at the high school or collegiate level in the sport.

Candidates should be able to work with parents and students and meet the school schedule. The position includes duties such as inventory control, season reporting, and physical activities including lifting

Qualifications

• Must have high school graduation or equivalent.
• Experience coaching at the high school level or playing at college/university level in the relevant sport.
• Schedules must align with high school calendar.
• CPR and/or first aid training preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work with parents and children.

Responsibilities

• Fully organize the sport assigned and oversee all program duties.
• Manage equipment; keep a complete inventory and report at season end.
• Oversee awards and prepare a season summary for the sport.
• Perform bending, lifting and overhead work as required.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by school administration.

Coaching experience HS level

REPORTS TO: Assistant Principal of Activities and Athletics

RATE OF PAY: According to the P-CEA Master Agreement – Schedule "B"

BEGINNING DATE: 2026 Fall Season

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. The JV coach will be responsible for the entire organization of the sport to which he/she is assigned.
2. The JV coach will be directly responsible for all equipment in his/her sport. A complete inventory of all equipment will be filed with the director at the end of each season.
3. The JV coach will be responsible for all awards presented in his/her sport and a season summary.
4. Bending, lifting, and overhead work required.
5. Performs other tasks as assigned.
