ARIZONA COLLEGE PREP HIGH SCHOOL in Chandler, Arizona is seeking a Boys Tennis Assistant Coach for varsity and JV, reporting to the Athletic Director. This supplemental role involves planning practices, teaching fundamentals, and promoting sportsmanship while managing student-athletes during practices and games.
The position starts immediately and includes a $2,466 monthly stipend, with required certifications and the DPS fingerprint clearance card.
Qualifications
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License required.
- DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
- CPR/First Aid/AED Certification required.
- NFHS Coaching certificates required (see list).
- Additional sport-specific certifications may be required.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct practices to develop individual and team athletic skills.
- Teach sport fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
- Promote athlete growth, sportsmanship and character.
- Supervise athletes during practices, competitions and activities.
- Prepare teams for competitions and coach during games professionally.
- Prioritize athlete safety and follow injury prevention protocols.
- Communicate with students, parents, administrators, and staff.
- Assist with program administration and required documentation.
