The State College Area School District is seeking a Boys Wrestling Assistant Coach at the High School to lead and mentor student-athletes, teaching fundamentals, technique and conditioning.

The successful candidate will support the program head coach, foster positive values, and ensure compliance with PA Dept. of Education and PIAA safety training requirements. Equal opportunity employer and dedicated to student development.

Qualifications

• Certification and safety coaching training required by PA Dept. of Education and PIAA.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to student-athletes in wrestling fundamentals, strategy and physical training.
• Instruct and mentor athletes to be driven and responsible students and citizens.
• Report to the Boys High School Program Head Coach in support of program goals and initiatives.

Job Description

The State College Area School District is currently accepting applications for a BoysWrestling Assistant Coaching position at the High School.

The coachis responsible for providing leadership and guidance to student-athletes as well assupporting the overall vision for the program. We are seeking a positive, passionate, enthusiastic individual who will not only instruct student-athletes in fundamental skills, strategy and physical training, but also guide and mentor them to be driven and responsible student-athletes and citizens. The Assistant Coach reports to the Boys High School Program Head Coach in support of program goals and initiatives.

Both the PA Dept. of Education and the PIAA require specific safety and coaching training. See the Athletics website for details.
