Job summary

Palmyra Area School District is seeking a Boys Wrestling Lead Coach for our Middle School, with a Winter 2026-27 start. This paid supplemental contract supports planning, conditioning, training, and performance of student-athletes in line with district values.

The successful candidate will lead with integrity, motivate athletes of varying skill levels, and coordinate with the Athletic Director and High School Head Coach. Preferred practice time around 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the middle school.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years advanced knowledge of coaching wrestling.
• Ability to interact and motivate student-athletes of varying skill levels.
• Evidence of effective leadership.
• Must be student-oriented and organized.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct conditioning, training, and performance of student-athletes under Athletic Director guidance.
• Coordinate with High School Boys Wrestling Head Coach to implement program vision.

Job description

This position will start with the Winter 2026-27 season. This is a paid supplemental contract of up to $5,875 per year. Palmyra Area School District has an opening for our Boys Wrestling Lead Coach at the Middle School. The successful candidate is responsible for planning and directing the conditioning, training, and performance of our student-athletes in a manner consistent with the core values of the Palmyra Area School District. The successful candidate will be a person of integrity and character, and have a passion for teaching and coaching wrestling. Please note, the preferred practice time will begin between 3:00 PM - 3:15 PM at the middle school.

• A minimum of two (2) years advanced knowledge of coaching wrestlingrequired.
• Ability to interact and motivate student-athletes of varying skill levels.
• Evidence of effective leadership.
• Must be student-oriented and organized.
• Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and problem solving skills.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

Under the guidance and direction of the Athletic Director and in coordination with the High School Boys Wrestling Head Coach, the successful candidate will work in coordination and implementation of the wrestling program's vision.
