Job summary

State College Area School District is seeking an Assistant Varsity Boys Basketball Coach for the High School program in State College, PA. The Coach provides leadership and guidance to student-athletes, supporting the program's vision and assisting the High School Head Coach in achieving goals.

Assistant coaches are expected to teach fundamental skills, strategy and physical training while mentoring students to become responsible citizens. This position is open until filled.

Qualifications

Job Description

The State College Area School District anticipates filling the Assistant VarsityBoys Basketball Coach positions.

The Coach is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to student-athletes as well as supporting an overall vision for the High School Program. The Assistant Coaches report to the High School Head Coach in support of program goals and initiatives.We are seeking positive, passionate, experienced, and enthusiastic individuals who will not only instruct student-athletes in fundamental skills, strategy and physical training, but also guide and mentor them to be driven and responsible student-athletes and citizens.

Both the PA Dept. of Education and the PIAA require specific safety and coaching training. See the Athletics website for details.
