Job summary

Corvallis School District 509J is seeking a seasonal high school volleyball coach to coordinate all aspects of the program and promote the sport within OSAA guidelines.

The role requires coaching experience, strong ethical standards, and the ability to motivate student-athletes, with the option of First Aid and concussion/steroid training completed after hire. Oregon Teaching License is preferred.

Qualifications

• Volleyball coaching experience at the high school level.
• Experience in all aspects of coaching.
• Ability to develop a positive rapport with students/athletes, parents and other coaches.
• High ethical and professional standards.
• Ability to motivate student/athletes and coaches.
• Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion, and Steroid training; First Aid certification can be completed upon hiring.
• Oregon Teaching License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of the high school program.
• Work with and help give direction to all programs that feed into the high school.
• Assist in selection of the coaching staff.
• Promote the sport.
• Keep detailed statistics.
• Follow all school and OSAA guidelines.
• Provide off-season opportunities enabling athletes to improve skills.
• Be a student of the sport.
