Texas School for the Deaf Athletics in Austin, Texas is hiring two 5/6 Boys Basketball Coaches for a seasonal position starting immediately. Hours are varied and the role pays $16 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency.
• Must obtain First Aid and CPR within one month of employment.
• Sign Language skills equivalent to SLPI INTERMEDIATE at hire; documentation required.
• Desirable: prior athletics program experience at middle/high school.

Responsibilities

• Attend practice sessions, meetings, and assignments as directed by head coach/athletic director.
• Prioritize health and safety of participants and promote sportsmanship and a positive image.
• Assist with game administration and follow the head coach's methodologies.
• Supervise student athletes during practices, games, travel, and on campus facilities.
• Assist in caring for equipment, storing supplies, and maintaining locker rooms and uniforms.
• Control building security, keys, lights as assigned.
• Report hazards promptly to the head coach or athletic director.
• Maintain First Aid and CPR certification.
